LOCAL MP STEWART HOSIE VISITS SOON TO OPEN HOLLYWOOD BOWL DUNDEE
On the 8th of April 2024, Stewart Hosie MP for Dundee East, paid a visit to the site of the soon to open Hollywood Bowl on Douglas Road last Friday to meet some of the team behind bringing this £3millon centre to the local area.
During his visit Stewart reviewed the exciting and ambitious plans for the site which joins the already popular Odeon on Douglas Road. He also met with some of the team, responsible for bringing the vision to life including Centre Manager Laura MacDougall and Regional Manager Steven Bremner. Set to bring affordable fun and great entertainment experiences to the city, Hollywood Bowl Dundee will offer family and friends a taste of modern LA when it opens its doors for the first time in late May.
No pin will be left standing as it will feature 20 ten pin bowling lanes, state-of-the-art amusements, a fabulous bar and diner and even a dedicated party zone. The centre will also create up to 35 new, local jobs, offering Dundee residents the opportunity to benefit from Hollywood Bowl’s brilliant training and development programmes, opening the door to exciting careers within the leisure and hospitality industry.
Laura MacDougall, Centre Manager at Hollywood Bowl Dundee, said: “It was great to be able to host Stewart at the centre, and give him a full tour of our exciting and ambitious plans for the site. While he didn’t have the chance to try out his bowling skills, he promised to come back once we’re open to see if he has what it takes to score a strike! With the centre set to open its doors to the public next month, it’s going to be a busy few weeks for the team as we get everything ready for launch. We’re really proud of what we’re creating and can’t wait for people to be able to come and enjoy the fun.”

Both as an employer and an entertainment provider within the local area, Hollywood Bowl are going to be playing an important role in the local community and I look forward to coming back to give it a go, once the doors are officially open.”
On top of ten pin bowling fun, guests who visit the centre will also get to enjoy its American-style bar and diner featuring a selection of delicious food and drinks, including American classics such as hot dogs, burgers, shakes and signature cocktails, making it the perfect destination for nights out with friends or colleagues.
To help guests keep the competitive spirit going, Hollywood Bowl’s famous amusements area will offer leading games such as Mario Kart, as well as all time family favourites including air hockey and racing games.
Hollywood Bowl Dundee will open from 20th May, with pre-bookings being taken a month before.
