Commenting Mr Hosie said:

“I was more than happy to table this EDM celebrating Abertay’s birthday and recognising some of their landmark achievements over the last 25 years.”

“Abertay has changed significantly since I attended Bell Street Tech, as it was formerly known. It’s introduction of the world’s first computer games degree to becoming a world leader in the field shows that Abertay is a modern and highly successful University which has helped put Dundee on the map.”

“The University has a huge array of talent. I was delighted to tour their video games and food technology labs last year and I'm already looking forward to visiting again at some point in the near future to see more of the great work the University does.”

“I’d like to wish the University, it’s students and it’s staff all the best for the next 25 years and beyond.”

Abertay University Principal Professor Nigel Seaton said:

“It’s great to see the work of our students, academics and support staff getting recognition at this level in this important anniversary year.”

“I would encourage anyone with an interest in the University to get involved in our special programme of events as the year unfolds.”
